Originally looking for balance in a hectic world, Lara’s path with yoga began She says, remembering her first yoga class, “I was constantly stressed and needed something to centre me.” She now does this daily process to remain calm, concentrated, and brilliant.
Her key is beginning every session with deep breathing. “Breathing has more force than we might believe. She adds, inhaling slowly and deeply to help the body get ready for the exercise and quiet the mind. Lara’s advise is “Take five deep breaths to help you to relax before beginning any project.”
Her particular favourite yoga position is The Sun Salutation. Every muscle is awakened by this full-body stretch. That is my approach to welcome each day. She shows flowing elegance from one position to the next.
Yoga to Lara is more than simply physical. Her eyes softening, “This is a time to connect with myself, to let go of any stress,” she says. Yoga has helped me to be present and to stretch my thoughts as well as my body.
No matter their degree of experience, Lara exhorts everyone to try yoga. Her kind grin invites people to stretch, breathe, and shine with her as she advises, “Start small, be patient with yourself, and remember, it’s about progress, not perfection.”
